Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to achieve a score of 10 in a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci at just six years old. She first competed in the national junior championships in 1969 placing 13th and she took the title in the year 1970. At her first international competition in 1972, she came out on top with three gold medals. In 1975, she took home four golds and one silver in her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman ever to remove the parallel bars using backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she was performing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a part of the entertainment industry in her teens. Her career began by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. The shows featured ice skating with theatrical shows.
