April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on July 4th July, started taking guitar and piano lessons at age seven. Her interest in writing songs was ignited. In the teen years, April wrote her first song Different. The year she turned 14 was when she committed a large amount of time in writing song ideas and practicing her musical skills. The following months she would begin taking notes together with her dad to LA or NY. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her classmates who struggle with issues such as bullying by peers and teens who commit suicide through the songs Take my Hand. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with a growing number of followers. She works with popular brand Ilia through a collaboration, along with being a lifestyle expert. Her disability is a part of her persona, however it is not the whole picture. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on her account on Instagram However, she doesn't really concentrate on it. What message is it sending? There is more to us than only our physical selves. Our identities are intricate and we contain many different aspects. I don't want that to make me feel like I'm to be an influencer with a disability which is what I'm talking about as there are numerous other aspects of me Lockhart shares her thoughts via video from her residence in Nashville. This doesn't have any effect on my everyday life. I go about all the things I normally do and I've developed my own way to adjust the things. Since it's part of me personally It's an issue worth discussing. Lockhart is a great example for self-acceptance in general has been on a long journey to achieve it. Still she admits she's gone through phases with her body and sometimes not being confident in wearing specific types of clothes which showed off the arms of her. She now wears whatever she wants. She also posts her photos on social media. Self-love, according to her, is like a journey. "I do not think that you'll be there," she said. It's a trip, but I'm not sure you'll ever make it to the end. It's crucial to have people that know and are able to understand. They'll be able to remind you of what you are worried about.
