In the following days, a plethora of students around the globe joined the #FridaysforFuture strike, which saw students skip school on Fridays in protest of the effects of climate change. Climate activists from across the globe came together to coordinate the first Global Strike for Climate. It was an enormous accomplishment. It was attended by more than 1.6 million participants took part from 125 different countries.
