Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson was an American actress who is best known for portraying Buffy Summers, in the famous film Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Other notable roles included Rebecca Becky Granger from the telefilm Nightingales as well as the very short-lived NBC program of the exact same name. Erica Paget was a character in Early Edition in CBS and Marlowe Viccellio starred in Psych. A native of California she was attracted to acting from the time she was a child. Her acting career began through a variety of commercials. Her first appearance on TV was in an NBCs It's Your Move sitcom from 1984. She made her screen debut in 1986 on a romantic comedy called Pretty in Pink. Swan gained notoriety for her gorgeous blonde lisp and breathless voice. In recent years, she's moved from main roles to secondary characters. In 1989, she was honored with an award called the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
